The Sawmill 17 miler. Turned out to 3,200 feet of elevation and one of the hardest races I ever did. What the people at the race didn’t know was I had spent the previous two days in bed with a virus and had no idea if I could even run. But if you sign up you show up period. Even though I brought the wrong shoes and didn’t have any energy, I wouldn’t have traded the experience for the world. Just look at the views! John, you put on a helluva race, see you in February. Love your philosophy and love the races. Just ordered my #yaktrax 😁 #humanpotentialrunningseries (at Golden, Colorado) https://www.instagram.com/p/B6HVlUrnOGU/?igshid=1ptx6kj64dkn1
