Inauguration Ceremony of "Human Rights Mural" in Montreal. I'm so pleased and honoured I could have an opportunity to make a mural to raise awareness of Human Rights. Huge thanks to everyone who came out to the ceremony and put handprints on the mural. As an artist and immigrant, I'm so proud to be part of great community in Canada that respect Human Rights and diversity. Human Rights are immortal and majestic like a Phoenix when we have to face the challenge of the rise of populism, fundamentalism, xenophobia etc. カナダ、モントリオールにて人権への関心を高めるための壁画制作の機会をいただきました。人権や多様性をリスペクトするカナダのコミュニティの中でこのような企画に関われたことを、表現を志す者として、日本からの移民として、とても光栄に思います。 ポピュリズム、原理主義、ヘイト主義などなどクソみたいな思想がどんなに台頭蔓延してこようと、人権とは不死鳥のように不死身で高貴に、そんなクソ思想達に立ち向かって行けると思っています。 #humanrights #humanrightscanada (Montreal, Quebec)
