Therapy Talk
So today, i chatted with coworkers about morality. Both felt that religion is needed to teach right and wrong because who’s going to teach people how to be moral. Of course the 25 year old, spiritual, pro-black, LGBT ally, and pro-everybody chill tf out ’s opinion is irrelevant. …. because i haven’t lived long enough. (Everyone is at least twice my age in the department, i am the only black which is cool they aren’t crazy white people, i actually love every single last one of them)
Nonetheless they go on to push that history is going to repeat itself and we will go back to being super religious, which will bring prosperity, and peace to those who abide and go with the flow.
Now being spiritual, i don’t do religion. God is real, Jesus was real, i just have different ideas of what it all really meant/means. I feel life morals can be taught WITHOUT pushing people to believe a lot of flawed (purposefully too) ideas to live by.
They believe religion is needed to control and teach right and wrong. They think people who you tell they are wrong for something (that is actually wrong :rape. Killing, stealing, lying, the simple morals… you know the ones where you DONT impede on someone’s NATURAL BORN RIGHTS/FREEDOMS). Will feel you are judging them. And that we are being taught nowadays that it's ok to do whatever you want.
I asked why do you have to push people to be what you want them to be? They cant live and we ALL teach our kids that you don’t do things that will inflict harm on yourself or another human. Boom. Problem solved. You get your chance to break the cycle when you procreate!
Huh i honestly think it’s an age thing and old people not realizing that THEY WERE RESPONSIBLE FOR RAISING THE MF THAT RAISED THIS GENERATION.
Lol they pushed “ history is only going to repeat itself. …”
Bruh, …. and that’s the mf problem.
(Sorry I’m not awesome at verbal expression, and everything came to me after the conversation had to share em all. …. ugh)
