To look at any person and call them equal is perhaps the greatest aspiration I have in this life. This is extremely difficult if one is honest with themselves, to feel comfortable with the president as a billionaire business man as your grandmother as a warrior seeking your life as a thief as a stinking beggar, to approach them all on level ground expecting mutual respect and honoring only those returning that respect as worthwhile and worthy of admiration. This is a whole new way of valuing human worth; I believe it is the correct way.

Let's be real.

Have you ever left a conversation feeling starved of intellectual substance? I don't care about how nice the weather is; I don't care about how well that celebrity wore that dress. I want to converse about topics that matter: opinions on authors and the ideas they portray in their works, musical tastes, hobbies, the relationship you have with your mother, politics, why you believe what you believe, etc. I want to talk about subjects that will bring me closer to people: I want to know you and have us both leave the conversation feeling satisfied and happy because we learned something new and exciting about ourselves and about the individual we conversed with. Each individual has a different viewpoint and the capability to think independently. Each individual has a story (as corny as that sounds), and that story is fascinating. It is so... odd that the individuals I am able to see almost every day are the ones I ones I generally don't know very well as opposed to some of the individuals I follow on tumblr whom I have gotten to know quite well even though I have never met them in person (and there is a chance I never will). I can't satisfy myself with the beautiful and terrible thoughts I find myself reading on the Internet by faceless users. It's nice to know that there are individuals utilizing sites like tumblr to unveil their inner selves, but I want to experience the reality of individuals in the real world. I want to hug the person whom I have just had a heart to heart with. I want to see him/her with my eyes and be able to feel his/her warmth. I want to witness the wonder of a sparkle in an eye and a crinkle of a smile around a mouth - miracles I rarely get to see while discussing the weather. I need a body to go along with the beautiful and terrible thoughts and ideas; I need a body to validate an existence. We each have a physical existence in the real world which contains our beautiful and terrible minds. Why not unite the two beings and be true to what we have inside us? Why not be real?
