FINAL revised choices. Pick your favorite :D
Tiny house survey. FINAL UPDATE!!!!!*I promise :D
I am in the process of decidng on a tiny house. Of my choices, I’ve managed to narrow it down to three options.
There are similarities between these options.
All three have a sleeping loft.
All three have a storage loft.
all three are at least 200 sq ft, not including loft space.
AND, last, but certainly not least... all three are on wheels. So they are mobile. I can drive them about, with no worry about location.
MY TINY HOUSE FEATURES...
Custom panelling & siding using reclaimed materials
Regular appliances, minimized. A tiny counter-top dishwasher, built into the cabinet, a washer dryer combo & a full size range, just mini.
I am of the nature that I need a couch and set living room, as well as dining. So I plan to build a bar style kitchen, so as to have seating for dinners, and a built in living room unit. So that I have the ability to lounge on my couch and read a book.
My house has to have LED lighting. I am a huge fan of the Ikea LED pot lighting that goes under cabinets. So I'll probably invest in something like that.
A BATH TUB!!! I want one, and so I shall have one. I am going to use a galvanized steel horse trough, a smaller foot print one, OR buy the plans for Jay Shafer's Ofuru tub via Fourlights, and just build it myself. If I want to relax in a bath tub, I shall.
Humble Homes has some great houses, and of those houses, is the Rooke.
http://humble-homes.com/tiny-house-plans/the-rooke-tiny-house-with-porch/
It's a simple tiny house designed to be able to take advantage of solar energy. It has a pitched roof. The initial design inspiration comes from The Tall Man's tiny House. A house built by two guys both over 6'5” tall. The house inspired a second house, the trainer tiny house. All three are based on the same design, The Rooke.
You have an idea of what it looks like here. On wheels, Two lofts. One sleep, one storage. Seating, shelving, etc.

The Cypress design makes use of the most interior space by incorporating a corner porch. The popularity of this design comes from the aesthetically-appealing recessed porch and hipped roof. Our Overlook floor plan has the largest living space, in the great room.
