A Humble Prayer

(Letter to God)

Do you know what made the difference? Do you know why this happened and that didn’t? Verily, It is because we prayed to Allah(SWT). It is because we trust in Him.

    There are times when, we experience difficulties, we begin to question Him without even thinking, asking ‘why did this happen,’ or ‘why me.’ Well, we should all start thinking first about what Allah(SWT) has given us, and what we have because of Him. Without His help, and without His mercy, we wouldn’t be in where we are right now. We should all realize that, the difficulty we are facing right now, is just a part of a test, a test which determines if we really deserve His blessings and mercy. We should not forget that all we have right now belongs to Him, and we will eventually turn back to Him. So, let us not think of the problem we are facing right now as burden, but something that will only make us and our faith stronger. Allah(SWT) surely loves us that is why we should continue to put our faith in Him.

It was only a matter of time before anyone's faith would waver. Selaphiel's time had come. When Azrael (or rather, Daniel) had found her crouched by an altar of a church, whispering her prayers to the very same being that she was trying to find, clutching to a cross around her neck, He couldn't help but sigh and quietly step up behind her.

"Sellie..." He watched her jump and turn to face him, and before she could speak, he wrapped his arms around her. "You found me after what seemed like forever... After most people gave up on finding me... If anyone can find Father, it's you."

The warmth from his normally-hidden wings coming out and wrapping around her as well in a blanket of security was enough to earn a smile on her face. "Thank you, Azrael."

"Actually, it's Daniel."

"Whatever."

They could sort out the names later.

I would prefer the same - but after not seeing it for all these years, and remembering it for what it was…I think I’d be worried about stepping foot there. I’ve often thought about it, though.

"I have visited there recently, and... it is vastly different from what I remembered. There is a lot of wreckage in Heaven, and the fighting is still happening. Earth is much more peaceful, I have found."
