Today was my last day as a geospatial tutor at Humboldt State and it's bittersweet! It's the best job I've had so far but I'm excited to move onto bigger and better things. I learned so much helping others learn about GIS, remote sensing, mobile mapping, cartography, and once in a awhile even some programming. It seems like just last week I was heading off to college with my bright dorm room decor, all of my belongings, and a fresh sense of freedom.⁣
⁣
(and big shoutout to the best roommates I could ever ask for on this crazy journey!!)⁣
⁣
College was one of those times for me that definitely had its ups and downs. It was a time in my life where I struggled to find who I really was. I struggled A LOT with my ADD in college, before I finally got my official diagnosis before my senior year. I know without those experiences though, I wouldn’t be where I am today. And I also wouldn’t have some of the amazing friendships I do today. ⁣
⁣
I went to college to work with animals all while falling in love with health and fitness. And now, I get to work with animals AND fitness passions together as I coach other women. Talk about a full circle moment. ⁣
⁣
Sometimes I look back and I can’t help but get a little sentimental at how far I’ve come since then. Life sure has it’s way of giving you exactly what you need to help you become the person you’re supposed to be. 😊⁣
