Humourbeasts, 1999.
Little teeny baby Jemaine and Taika, lookin' like a Maori Simon and Garfunkel.
T: How you going, beautiful? How are you?
Girl: Just fine.
T: You hear that? She’s just fine.
J: Oh, you’re not just fine. You’re super-fine.
Sorry, still obsessed with Māori Paul Simon Baby Taika and his eyebrow game and finger dexterity.
Thanks TwoTwo, giving me the opportunity to painting the commission.
(Inspired by the female costume performance of Jemaine Clement & Taika Waititi in Starry Eyed)
!not a ship!
@matt_grace_photography: Just saw the full length trailer for Jojo Rabbit and crikey it looks good! Taika’s Hitler isn’t the first German character he’s performed, way back in the early 2000’s he came up with Gunther, who he performed as a stand up character on stage and tv. We did this shoot back in 2005 and I just rediscovered the files and gave this one a wee make over! #taikawaititi #jojorabbit
