mér van az hogy éjfèlt üt az óra, én egész nap szenvedtem össze-vissza, hogy álmos vagyok, éjfél lett: bumm. Suddenly im fine. Suddenly im thriving. Sleep? No need. I need to do THINGS.
me vs speaking hungarian like it was meant to be
It wouldn't be a MÁV vágányzár if it didn't scare the shit out of me every single transfer.
So today I learned what Hunglish is.
It’s probably the most unholy pidgin language I’ve ever heard. Like, I have used it (unintentionally) in my writing, but didn’t think it was a real thing. For example:
“Szekent Lőttenant Sztéván Szént Dzsán. Jú Esz Ármi Rénzsörsz. Hjústan Tekszász.”
Second Lieutenant Stephen St. John. US Army Rangers. Houston, Texas. One of my main characters. (Later called “István” as the story progresses.)
Needless to say, the Hungarian characters thought he was speaking gibberish until they found a guy in their ranks who understood English.
you know they say when you have a hammer everything looks like a nail? well when you bliccel át bkk every person looks suspicously like an ellenőr.
"I saw the sign, and it opened up my eyes..."
Now I must TOILET the building!!!!
