Don’t know how many people on Tumblr have Huni Badgers or at least likes them, but I had an idea the other day for a relatively simple design change to the current tips that would make them metal instead. While metal can have a different and better flavor when smoking concentrates I understand that part of the issue with a metal tip is that it uses electricity to heat and thus would conduct the electricity more than it would heat the metal, but if you make it so the ceramic is what is being heated and then the heat then spreads out to the metal it would probably work (I obviously am an individual with no experience in the field of making something like this so I can’t be completely sure, but in theory it should work)
This would allow the tips to be sturdier, and while they would likely cost a but more than the ceramic tips, the more durable nature would make up for that. At the same time, I’m sure that for Huni Badger part of the benefit of the ceramic tips is that they do break regularly so people have to keep buying them, but these could still break in terms of the ceramic within and the wiring issues currently present in Huni Badgers would likely still play a roll in compensating for that, but in the end, this would be a better quality option and would make the Huni Badger a higher quality product overall
I’m still debating if I will send it to Huni Badger as an option, but what do you all think of something like this?
My siblings and I have stated for a while that Huni Badger needs different tip options (A glass/quartz option would likely be nice in some regards, but would likely be more fragile than the ceramic tips, and thus like less appealing in the long run, but a metal tip would be a big help) and I always understood that it needed to be done in a specific way so it wasn’t like zapping people, but honestly this feels like a very real possible solution
