Starlink: Battle For Atlas
I picked this up for $5 at Target off the clearance aisle.
I really don’t know much about this game other than it’s on multiple platforms, and I guess space shooter reminiscent of Star Fox?
Hakka (I presume this is Hakka) is the mini figure who comes packaged with the Lance fighter.
He’s standing on a platform which connects to the bottom of the fighter. He’s in an action pose; maybe the ship has all motion controls.
I think, really the platforms supposed to have a chip in there so the game can determine who’s in there, but I’m just guessing.
The figure himself is made out of soft plastic, and for something as small, he’s quite well detailed, and has a lot of color to his outfit.
The Lance is a space fighter. It’s most notable feature is that it has the painted silver, knife-like nosecone. The rear section is cast in a red plastic, with dark gray and black plastic for the engine parts. This ship looks like it could be super fast with all these smooth lines.
It’s got a clear yellow plastic for the canopy with inverted wings. They look like they could be intake engines.
There is a large, white gun which can fit on either of the wings. I know it’s part of the game, and this gun can fit on all of the ships within this line, but for, this thing really doesn’t look good on the ship.
It breaks the fast looking profile of the Lance.
Now my understanding is that everything is meant to be modular. The wings detach (and can be reversed), the large weapons detaches, and the pilot can go to other fighters.
You can take the wings off, and the large gun, and swap them onto other ships. It’s a neat idea.
The wings, the guns, the pilots, and I think even the ship all have chips withing them so the game knows what parts are where; I guess it’s all for the game play.
Since I don’t own the game I have no idea if this ship is any good or not. AS a toy, Hakka and the Lance is pretty cool. It’s got a fun space fighter design, and made out of solid plastic, making it, I hope a durable toy.
If you just like outer space stuff like I do this might be fun to pick up.
