So Dean knew all the details about the case with Ed Trenton which tells us either Dean has the best fricking memory in the world, which Supernatural has shown Dean has one of the best and most fantastic memories in that world, OR Dean had to go re-look up everything with Ed after he met Cole.
That would mean Dean wrote it down, and Sam even said before that Dean should go write something in his journal. So even though Dean says he doesn’t keep one and we never actually see it...Dean has a hunter’s journal and I want to see it.
