*As Katie walks to the window after leaving the Armory, she notices something.*
That's strange... the darkness of outer space has turned... purple. And the stars, are cyan? Is this normal in your universe?
Now? We begin our domination. There is no one more suited and understanding of this Realm than you. We will stretch our reign across the stars, and with you at my side, dear Samus, there is very little that can oppose us.
And now that dear Blujay is out of the way, we can start with Earth.
So, it’s a red suit? Cool. Not sure why I’d want to turn anyone else, though. I’m more the ‘shoot first and ask questions after the planet’s destroyed’ type.
*Nonetheless, she steps forward. Her varia suit begins to materialize around her, and the module floating before her begins to spin. Finally, it flies into her, and her suit is briefly enveloped in golden light, which soon turns pink before fading away, revealing the altered color of her suit. She looks down at herself, turning her hands over to inspect the final result before looking back at Katie.*
Not bad. So... what now?
*Katie leads Samus into the true armory of the Kennets, where in the center is a table with an anti-gravitational device on top that glows white. The Mistress types in a command into a nearby holographic keypad, and a circular hatch opens from the ceiling.*
While you were unconscious, we did some research on your Varia Suit and were able to create a compatible module that will hone in your Kennet prowess to its maximum potential.
*From the ceiling, a large, glowing, cylindrical container drops onto the table from the hatch, but is caught by the anti-gravity machine, causing it to float in front of them. It glows red, and through the glass, the image of a digitalized red V, the symbol of the Kennets—arching with red electricity—can be recognized.*
This is the Kennet Suit. This adjustment will not only give your suit a cherry red color scheme with glowing pink accents, but it will allow the Enlightenment to interact with your suit to allow for even faster cognitive reaction and more efficient power output. The suit is also far more durable against energy and ice based attacks, and permit locked-in communication channels with any and all Kennet units within a respective radius. It also comes with one other upgrade: the Kennet Beam. Your suit will be equipped with Enlightenment Serum to use against foes whom you'd like to convert. However, using too much of it may damage your suits Energy Cells. We’re looking into developing the technology further to avoid that mishap.
When you’re ready, please step forward and accept the module.
*Katie shakes her head in disappointment.*
(To herself) “Galaxy’s most famous bounty hunter, and she doesn’t even know... tsk tsk tsk.”
Alright, follow me. Let’s get you suited up and more familiar with your Sisters.
*The Hunter abruptly grabs her head in pain as she drops to her knees. When it finally abates, she looks up at Katie..*
Jeez, I'm already on your side, you don't have to fucking torture me. Fuck...
*She stands up, rubbing her temples for a moment.*
I mean... if it's robots you want... You've got plenty of those. Why do you need me?
*Katie stared inquisitively into Samus’ eyes.”
Interesting. I’ll need to take a look at that. You shouldn’t be having that free range of speech, let alone making threats and asking questions. Perhaps that’s the sacrifice of keeping your brain intact.
No matter.
*Katie’s eyes shimmer with a brighter red, sending resonating waves of screeching pain into Samus’ head.*
You know, Samus, I like your personality and all—very becoming of a Kennet. But if you give me any more trouble, perhaps I’ll simply strip your brain clean and start from scratch. The Enlightenment is one with you now, and I am its mistress.
So I’d watch your words if I were you, Samus. They could be your last.
*Samus looks over at Katie, glaring.*
Don't try and change my name. I really should slap you for a lot of reasons.
*She crosses her arms and looks back toward the hallway where Blujay was dragged off.*
What are you going to do with him?
