Thing in the Ice with 1 counter, Riddleform, and an instant. When you cast the instant can you get the conditional board-bounce and the sphinx or will Riddleform be returned to your hand if choose to let it trigger?

When you cast the instant, both Thing in the Ice and Riddleform will trigger. Since you control both triggers, you choose the order in which they go on the stack. If you put Thing in the Ice’s trigger above Riddleform’s trigger, you’ll remove the last ice counter, transform it, and resolve Awoken Horror’s trigger before Riddleform’s trigger resolves. Since Riddleform isn’t a creature when Awoken Horror’s trigger resolves, it won’t be returned to your hand.

@huntermrose I have. I’m already involved with the SPCA but they can’t really do anything right now. (They don’t take feral adult cats and can only take kittens if young enough to rehabilitate and if they have room) We are currently working with our community association to fundraise so we can get some of these cats fixed. There’s no established trap/neuter/release site where these cats are. Once we get it worked out with the community association and find a vet clinic that will fix them all, the SPCA can apply for funding from the main office to help get it under control. We still have to figure out where to put the cats we trap while they get assessed/fixed. But about two years ago we got 5 of them trapped and neutered/spayed but weren’t able to trap the momma cats. So unfortunately it doesn’t take long for them to have litters..and those kittens to have litters...

Edit: I foster kittens for the SPCA so I know them all there and they would help if they had the funding for it. At least there’s a plan in place.
