YOU'RE ONE OF MY FAVORITE BLOGS AAAAH. I WAS CONVINCED NO ONE WATCHED METAL LORDS FOR THE LONGEST TIME AND I REALLY LOVED IT 😭 THANK YOU?? (sorry for all caps, very excited. You also might like Heavy Trip but it does include death and slaughterhouse scenes if that makes you uncomfy -- nothing is too graphic in the slaughterhouse scenes, but I definitely get if it makes you grossed out.)
You've come to the right place (obviously lol) I fucking love Metal Lords. Even when I'm a little quiet on here I'm always working on fics in the background and it's my biggest special interest regardless of anything.
I get stuck thinking almost no-one else has seen/likes Metal Lords too, but there's definitely a little community of people that love it or at least appreciate it. Even if not all are as insane about it as I am 💀
Also don't worry about the caps! Your enthusiasm cheered me up, honestly ^-^
I actually love that you took the slaughterhouse scenes into consideration when recommending Heavy Trip. Because I happen to be a lifelong pescetarian/vegetarian, which I'm not assuming you knew but it's a pleasant coincidence!
However, I have seen Heavy Trip! And the slaughterhouse scenes actually don't bother me, especially since the meat props are pretty fake looking. I really love the film! (The sequel not so much sadly :<)
In the theme of movies about metalheads, Metalhead (or Málmhaus) from 2013 also contains some slaughterhouse adjacent scenes. And they're definitely more realistic than the ones in Heavy Trip. I personally didn't find them unsettling, but if someone was put on edge by the ones in Heavy Trip, the ones in Metalhead might be relatively uncomfortable for them. That being said Metalhead is a fantastic film, and worth a watch if you like heavier subject matter.
Excuse my rambling, tysm for reaching out and saying hi, Anon 🤘 I really appreciate it
