Hunter groaned still a little out of it after arriving at the hospital.

It started out as a regular football game, and while he had heard that the rival team's linebacker had a habit of roughing up other players, he didn't expect that the other man would intentionally hurt people.

The next thing he knew, he woke up in the emergency room with his daughter curled up next to him a very painful leg.

"Sunny? What happened?" He asked a bit confused.

The little girl looked hearing her father's voice.

"Daddy, you're up!" She exclaimed, hugging her dad tightly.

"You passed out. The other man tackled you really hard." Sunny explained as they waited for his medical team to arrive.

Hunter did not expect to see one of his good friends at his door, especially with the question that followed shortly after.

"You... want me to marry you, help you get sole custody of Solstice?

He asked a bit, confused.

Things had changed a lot since he and Ellie were kids, and he always had a slight crush on the woman and adored her son as he did his own child.

Although with his large athlete and modeling carriers, the man couldn't help but worried if it would be a repeat of what happened between Sunny's mother Nicole and himself.

The blonde sighed, running a hand through his hair.

"I.. I don't know about this Els... wouldn't all the evidence you have against his dad be enough?"

Hunter sighed, hearing his father's plans for forming a peace agreement between the human kingdom and the selkies.

The eldest of the Sprigdragons offspring certainly wasn't keen on the idea since most mortals hunted, abducted, and stole from their kind for centuries but quickly volunteered himself when told the arrangement called for marriage between the two species.

Now, he was resting on one of his favorite rock clusters, looking at the strange human castel when his own pup make scooting up beside him.
