Is there anything as rewarding as this? I bought this girl late august in a sales, she was very under weight and was clearly never handled. It took us a good 30 mins to get a head collar on her while she was still in the horse box. We dosed her, did some light work getting her used to being handled then let her off for a few months to gain weight. I brought her back in to work about 6 weeks ago. It started of though she was scared of everything. I took this super slow for her. Most days was just being in the stable with her or grooming. After weeks of ground work she was at a point where she was ready to be backed. she had bit of an attitude at the start. Shes now done a complete 180-degree turn. She surprises me every day with just how confident and trusting she is now. Its so rewarding to see her coming along so well.
