See this hurdle? It was my arch nemesis in high school. I was on the track team and at first I was a sprinter, but then one day my coach got this bright idea to make me a hurdler. I cannot tell you how many times I either stopped running right at the foot of the hurdle or fell trying to jump over it. It terrified me for many reasons. But something in me got pissed off that I could not clear that blasted contraption and I began to practice harder and longer every day in practice until I finally did it. I cleared the hurdle. Never give up on yourself. Your ability to clear a hurdle depends on how you see it: a thing to be feared or conquered? I went on to win a few races, but even more so, I learned as a hurdler that an obstacle in the middle of the road is just one more thing to “clear” in order to get to my destination: the finish line. #motivationmonday #ILoveMeMore #hurdlerforlife
