So I did the hurricane trick where you put a penny at the top of a frozen bottle of water then put it in the freezer. You can see how much defrosting was done based on where the penny is. Usually it’s only about 1/2” or so down. It’s at the bottom of the bottle. Meaning my whole freezer totally got hot. So there goes ALL of the food in my fridge and freezer to the dumpster. 🤦🏻‍♀️ Oh well. I’m safe and so are all my family, friends, and puppies. Now I just need to get full power back at work because how am I gonna replace all the groceries when I can’t work? Sigh. Hurricane life. It’ll all be good. Feeling very grateful that I just lost food and a fence.
