U.S. meteorologists are also tracking three other weather systems in the Atlantic.Tropical Storm Franklin, currently with 50 mph (85 kph) winds, is projected to approach Hispaniola island's southern coast by Tuesday, bringing heavy rainfall to it and nearby Puerto Rico throughout the week.A low-pressure trough preceding Franklin holds a 70% potential to evolve into a tropical depression or storm. It is anticipated to reach the western Gulf of Mexico coast by Tuesday, as indicated by the U.S. National Hurricane Center (NHC).Tropical Depression Six, near the Leeward Islands, is forecasted to weaken into a remnant low by Sunday night, according to the NHC's latest advisory.In the central Atlantic, Tropical Storm Emily is expected to transform into a post-tropical cyclone within the next 36 hours, as suggested by Miami-based forecasters.Meanwhile, a tropical disturbance close to the Cape Verde Islands holds a 30% chance of cyclone formation within 48 hours. Additionally, a tropical depression is likely to take shape later in the week.Although this year's Atlantic hurricane activity has been relatively subdued, the U.S. West Coast witnessed the impact of Tropical Storm Hilary, which triggered destructive flash floods both east and west of Los Angeles. Update we are survived #hurricaneirma and are ok and very thankful that nothing was majorly damaged our apartment did loss power around 3am and we lost some shingles and some siding / gutters but we are ok and looks like no one in our complex was hurt , I hope others who faced this are ok ! Lots of love ! #hurricaneupdate Discovered that the mandatory evacuation was changed to voluntary after we were over halfway to our destination. River hurt her leg yesterday. We are on the second floor. She is afraid to go in and out of the door. I twisted my ankle today. The hurricane has turned and is coming straight for us now. We'll probably be here for a while.
