I can’t believe I’ve never heard this recording before - the song was written for Otto Preminger’s film of the same title, but Little Richard’s stunning rendition does not seem to have been part of the soundtrack. Produced by Larry Williams, it’s absolutely sublime. Thanks to The Listening Post for posting.
