21 Day Busy Women's study
So I'm doing this YouVersion Bible study for busy women and something wants me to share tonight's -- who we kidding we know it's God.
The study is BEING UNIQUIQuELY YOU
and it gives you four questions and then the story of some of the women of the Bible and How we can learn from them.. So Abigail was tonight's study and for the life of me I could not remember who Abigail was - I was halfway thru the chapter before I remembered the story from child hood. Sad I know, specially for the preacher's wife I happen to be.
so if you dont know the story, Basically Abigail's husband was butthead and was blockhead when King David sent his soldiers to protect Nabal's shepherds while they were in the wilderness. Was rude to the point of refusing to give them water after a long night's watch. David was about to attack Nabal's men when Abigail got a Word from Father God and sent gifts and even started off on her own donkey to meet the king. whom she made peace with in The LORD's name..
SO the question's go like this..
Abigail: Spiritual understanding applied to tough situations
1. What was God's role in Abigail's life?
God was in Abigal's life. Obviously !!
His place would be that if guidance the verse of the day fit nicely here.
ISAIAH 48:17 Thus saith the Lord, thy Redeemer, the Holy One of Israel; I am the Lord thy God which teacheth thee to profit, which leadeth thee by the way that thou shouldest go.
2. How did she respond? Did these actions lead her towards the "rich and satisfying" life Jesus promised?
She listened to Gods voice. She obeyed. She plead for David not to kill all the young men just cause their leader, her husband, was a butthead. She said here take my apologies and the LORDS blessings and let Father handle this. Which Led her to a VERY blessed and prosperous life.
3. How does this story apply to me today?
How it applies to me is rather a lengthy story on multiple levels of importance and current status. I don't think Father gives me these lessons at particular times for no good reason.
Needless to say, I KNOW it applies and how and It radiates the Love Law to me.1).Cover your husbands sins, for Father aint finished with him yet either, 2) do what GOD tells you, NO MATTER what husband might want.. 3) DONT rub it in his face... And 4) love him thru it until he answers to Father for himself..
4. What is one thing I can do differently based on what I've learned?
ONe thing I could do differently based on what I learned? -- pretty much means #3 in my answer to question 3 because I pretty much use the other three on a regular basis.. and whats with the (3)'s here Father? --
I forgot who Abigail was. I don't know this story as well as others.. Cant wait to see what else Father has to teach me during this lesson..
