i love my new name (Vassa) sm tho. at a glance (+knowing my name is Ukr), you'd think it's a diminutive of Vasylyna -- kingly, royalty -- and that theory is valid! but it might also be from the ancient Greek word vassa (βᾶσσα), and some sites just say it means 'desert', that accursed land where i'm from. but if you actually go to an ancient Greek dictionary, it comes up as 'wooded glen.' such a neat depth

my friend and i were talking about soaking last night which got me thinking about whether SMeyer had thought about that for curing Bella's unconditional hornyness and I went googling and found someone had mentioned on reddit that they do, canonically, soak. so i went no way and started reading through Breaking Dawn (I'm 85% sure still that they're referring to the scene on the beach but idk i don't think that counts yknow) because i needed to know. i even skipped to "isle esme" and everything. but then i got captivated by this text i hadn't read in like a decade, so i kept reading and by 4am i had finished half of the book. but WHY. why did i loose sleep by arguably one of the worst books in existence ahhhhhhhh
i'm going thru jessie gender's old star trek videos and honestly so much appreciation that she refers to odo as being on the spectrum. a lot of the st community here kinda just treats odo as Boring CisHet Man or just a half of the quark ship, but i've identified so much w him because a lot of my autistic tendencies are similar to odo's behavior and thoughts in the show. i saw myself in odo due to our neurodivergency. and it's hurt that a lot of ppl have dismissed him as boring, a bad character, whatever, for some of the same reasons that i found him to be Like Me
got tunisian crochet hooks today ! idk much about it but i found a pattern for tunisian crochet mittens that i absolutely adore so i guess i'll be learning a new skill
