i don't wanna get into this discourse but honestly most of the time the people trying to figure out the nature of patroclus and achilles' relationship don't even know what to look for. i see it as having a romantic element and think there's a solid amount of evidence in the iliad itself but even the people i'd naturally agree with argue their point in ways that are very easily debunked by THAT type of person on the social media platform we shall not name and that type of discourse has becoming increasingly common cause of nolan's movie and the homer mania it sparked online where everybody is suddenly an expert classicist very firmly against the "wokeification" of the poems. i'm ranting without any specific goal here but like of course you're not going to find any evidence if you think it's gonna turn into heated rivarly (shout out to hector who ACTUALLY wanted it to happen) and feature an extensive and explicit sex scene but that ignores the amount of pointers that are very much present cause both sides are going off of a sparknotes summary and maybe an abridged version. honestly i just personally think people look at it the wrong way because the toxic environment that this kinds of arguments create online makes it impossible to understand what it even is people should look out for when it comes to this topic. like no i don't think you listenting to an iliad audiobook once cause elon musk told you to makes you an expert on the subject.

Legit about to pass out from exhaustion and i just wanted to say smth real quick. Im gonna enjoy experimentimg with what furry stuff i like to draw, and honestly that last one was my first ever proper furry piece. When i first uploaded the wip i was shaking a little bit, it was scary but also liberating in a way to get something like that out, you know?

And my friends have been unbelievably supportive. Tysm everyone

Some more general thoughts about OPLA s2 (slight spoilers) :

Dragon : glad they kept him in ep 1, loved that they mentioned him during the Smoker/Garp discussion in ep 2 (especially since Garp's micro expressions can make even non readers imagine he might know more about who Dragon is) and during the reverie in ep 6, because it insists on the threat he actually represents to the WG early on (vs post Enies Lobby in the manga).

Red herrings about Roger having a son : while I was mitigated about OPLA revealing early in a flashback of ep 1 that Roger had a son, I love that the show hinted several times in S2 that the son might be Luffy and that Garp took him in as his grandson. Timeline wise it's not possible of course, but it was a general theory for many readers that Luffy and Roger were related until a certain point in the story, so it's cool they tried to play on that. Extra sad at Roger’s “I trust you won’t lead my son to the gallows :)” when we know what really happens though...

The Rumbar Pirates & Brook cameo : didn't expect such a focus on them in ep 2, especially of how dedicated and friendly they were to Laboon. I’m not sure we’ll reach Thriller Bark in OPLA but it was good to meet Brook anyway.

Mr 3 & Miss Golden Week : it's been a while since I last reread Little Garden but damn, they were terrifying, especially Miss Golden Week. They created a really disturbing vibe in LG in the live action that really counterbalanced the awe we can feel upon meeting Dorry and Brogy. Well done.

Usopp in Little Garden : big kudos for really making this Usopp's arc, the way Whiskey Peak made Zoro shine. I was afraid they would miss that cue (like they did in s1…), since Usopp isn't the strongest of the crew and it can be difficult to show him shine properly in the LA. Still, he really stood out in this arc and I was very proud of him by the end of ep 5.

Captain Usopp's lies becoming true : already present in S1, but glad they kept that in S2, meaning maybe we'll see the fight against Mr. 4 and Miss Merry Christmas vs Usopp & Chopper in S3 !

Sanji in LG : loved that they kept intact that he was basically on his own during all of the arc, which allows for the Mr. Prince deception to happen and to later save them all in Alabasta.

The reverie : glad they keep on introducing lore, to make non readers understand bit by bit how the world in One Piece works.

Kureha and the first mention of the Will of D : such an important moment and I'm glad they kept it untouched from the manga, because damn, that is a very big piece of info that made me go "???????" the very first time I finished Chopper's arc. Also, I still think there's something special about Kureha and that she really is 139 yo (is she from a different species ? Is it because of MADS ? Oda can we finally have answers about her? Is she the older woman Jarul loves idk ?).

The music : big fan in S1, big fan in s2. 1000/10 well done.
