This is an interview Sead's dad had in 2013 for Bosnian newspaper. I thought it's interesting so I decided to translate it. (sorry for mistakes)

When we contacted Faik (Sead's dad), we couldn't help but notice his pride, happiness and excitement that everything ended well - Sead Kolašinac is a new 'Dragon' (name for B&H NT players).

- My telephone is glowing and it didn't stop ringing for days. My friends from all around the world are calling to congratulate me. This is a dream come true and a big honour for the whole family Kolašinac. Honestly, I can't describe how proud I am. - he said.

Faik is working for famous car factory „Mercedes", and how he said, all of his business associates congratulated him.

- I work at car factory „Mercedes" and I was pleasantly suprised when I went on work the day after everyone found out that Seo gained the right to perform for B&H NT, literally everybody congratulated me. Germans, Bosnians, Turks.., they all were amazed.

How much Sead really cared to play for Bosnia and how much he waited for official confirmation from FIFA for changing his football nationality, witnesses the following statement of his father.

- Sead was playing a match with Schalke in Champions League against Chelsea in London, but hours before game started he was only thinking about one thing - have the documents that confirmes he can play for Bosnia arrived.

Twenty year old Sead, except his football knowledge, stands out with his body shape which is kind of unusual for a football player. We asked his father Faik, is for Sead's body shape responsible gym or maybe his genes.

- Believe me, it's genetic. Seo is corpulent like me, when a former Schalke coach Huub Stevens saw me and Seo next to each other, he told be straight away that he now knows from whom he got body shape like that and who he looks like. I used to be a footballer, Sead's uncles too.

- I must say that Seo is exemplary young man who practices Islam. From young age he was going to mosque, and interesanting thing is that he knew to skip school and go to mosque.

Sead lives in Gelsenkircen which is 400 kilometres away from where his parents live (Karlsruhe). But that doesn't stop them to see each other.

- Every two weeks we go to him in Gelsenkirchen. His mum make him sarma and burek (pie), it's his favourite meal and he enjoy in it. Sead loves Bosnian music so he tells me to record a CD for him.

Sead's origin is from Plav (Montenegro). His father was born in Nikšić (Montenegro), his mother was born in Čapljina (Bosnia and Herzegovina) and he was born in Karlsruhe (Germany).

- Origin of our family is from Plav. I was born in Nikšić but when I turned 10 years we left Montenegro and with my parents we moved to Čapljina in 1969. My wife is also from Čapljina and there we have a family house.
