After five years with the Mr. Cool DIY mini-split, I can finally say: I regret it. This is my honest, unfiltered update on how these units have held up, what’s gone wrong, and why I can’t recommend them anymore. I loved them at first (see my original install and 1-2 year reviews), but over time, the problems have piled up—and I’m breaking it all down here.
