Joonki has been toying with telling Ruby about his vampire encounter all day, and despite spending half of the night with Junsu checking him over for any chance of bites … it still doesn’t feel real. But part of him thinks that ignorance is bliss, and he can’t be the one to flip Ruby’s world on his head like that – or at least so he thinks. It hasn’t even crossed his mind that he would have to tell Sherry, the not-a-ferret, too. “Hints .. okay.” All it takes is the mention of A Certain Someones name to have Joonki standing a little straighter, brushing chocolate powder off the edge of his apron almost absentmindedly.
“…Ruby’s coming? Wait … Sherry? How can you … I mean … wow? I’m … this is amazing, you’re actually here but … how? How does that work? Is it magic .. I mean, it has to be magic right? If you’ve snuck out then does that mean Ruby knows what happened to you? How did he react?” Eyes are blown to full doe size, disbelief paired with relief adorns his features as he rambles. “It’s so good to actually speak to you.”

Oh, he sounds so perplexed, so confused. It’s adorable. Perhaps she ought to be a little easier on him, but explaining everything to him will be much like ripping off a bandaid -- quick and without hesitation to get it over with. The sooner Joonki knows, the sooner he can decide whether he wants to be part of all of this or not. Deep down, Sherry knows, it’s why Ruby has kept it a secret until now. Humans can be so, so cruel. “Ruby knows I’m like this, of course,” she says, twirling a pink lock around her finger. “He just doesn’t know I left. He was working and didn’t pay attention, and I was bored.”
Sherry shrugs. Usually, it isn’t much of a problem if she leaves when she isn’t needed. In this body, however, Ruby might just panic to find her gone. The slightest bit of guilt settles in her stomach. She could have left a note, in hindsight. She heaves a little sigh. “It’s magic, yes. Ruby’s -- actually, can you text him for me and tell him I’m here? I feel bad now.”
