         “You have been quiet recently, Zelda.” Though he yearns to reach out and place a concerned hand along her arm, he refrains out of not knowing if she would find such a thing comforting at this time. She had every reason to be quiet, to be withdrawn; Sundira only hoped she would not push him away in favour of her solitude. “Is there perhaps something weighing on your mind?”

►▸ “Ah... that’s Din’s Fire, right?” Lio was somewhat familiar with the spell, being one of the limited ways Hylians could access the power of the goddesses. Though it could not compare to Lio’s abilities- he had free reign to manipulate the flames, and it wouldn’t drain magic power at all- he was still impressed by how the princess was able to use it so well.

“How did you learn that spell? If... you don’t mind me asking, Your Highness.” Lio was always careful not to be too invasive with his questions, but especially so now. The princess could be a powerful ally in his search for the Dinborn, and he did not want to risk losing that opportunity by offending her.

@hvrulean played the Song of Starters

     “Oh-- Be careful.” Not as though she was incapable look after herself, but he couldn’t help himself when it came to her. Zelda was as capable as any SEASONED soldier in Hyrule, and the Hero of Time would argue she was that much more, but something within him still worried over her. One’s protective nature surely didn’t amount to being overbearing-- did it? He surely HOPED not.

     Hand guided her own with gentle care, providing aid and stability in the midst of their walk out on the castle grounds. A single branch, posing very little of a threat, but large enough to TRIP anyone who wasn’t looking, laid in their way of the narrow path. There was no way she wouldn’t have seen it, and silently did the hero’s worries begin to worsen.

     “I, ah... I-I just don’t want you to get hurt...” He trailed off, hoping it was enough of an explanation for her, in case she began to feel as his FEARS thought.

You were always (and still are) a lovely presence to have on the dash and it just wasn’t the same without you and your muses~

Ganondorf had been sealed away and the Hero had been returned to his time. Saria couldn’t ignore the pang and the ache in her chest at the thought that Link was gone, but it wasn’t something she could allow herself to focus on. 

The worst of the dangers to Hyrule might have been gone, but the kingdom was still in ruins. 

“... what now?” A simple question that wouldn’t have a simple answer.

“Why did you pick me?”

The question was blunt, but the Princess of the Zoras was not one who was known to temper her words or delicate phrase her curiosities in a manner to ensure that no one would be offended. And this was something that had been bothering her for quite some time.

“Why am I the Sage of Water? Is it simply because I was in the right place at the right time? Because I’m a Princess? Did the Goddesses deign me as such?”

Why her instead of so many others of her people?
