@askganondorftobadragmire liked for a (impa) starter!
The woman could not deny that she felt little more than uncomfortable in the man's presence. He was gigantic, and even without being visibly armed, Impa doubted it would be easy to catch him unawares or that he would fall quickly in combat. Dark energy felt like it was almost dripping off of him - and the fact that he was near-identical to the man who had been causing so much trouble for the Princess did not... help.
But he was not Ganondorf. Not the one that they knew. Or so he claimed.
It was a reasonable one. There were multiple Links and Zeldas throughout the timelines, and Cia's actions had caused several fissures that had created new branches that had never meant to be. Was it really so impossible to imagine there was one now where Ganondorf was King and was also not quite so...
Violent? Dangerous? Evil?
"Please forgive me of my words come off as crass or disrespectful." Impa spoke as she held a small cup of tea, steam wafting up across her face. They two of them were sitting across from each other on cushions with a small table between them, and said table was holding a tea pot, a cup for the King, and a small tray of pastries. A polite offering while they spoke in the small tent that had been erected outside of Hyrule Castle - the one ruled by Princess Zelda. "I assure you none is meant, but you must understand that... when the timelines started to open, none of us expected someone like you to appear."
Someone who bore the face of the Demon King.
Impa took a small sip before peering over the rim of her cup at Ganondorf, her gaze sharp. "So I want to ask you bluntly: Are you here to conquer this land? Are you a threat to the Princess?"
The unsaid part of her question laid in the naginata that was resting against the back wall of the tent behind her. Will we need to kill you?
