aj knew this.. at least now they did. they’d had gone through a pretty life changing year the past year and was still learning lessons from it. “i know. i know i need to be more confident and believe in myself more. despite what certain people might think. sometimes it just takes a bit of... work to get there.”

aj actually appreciated the time that gabby and her have been able to spend together since arriving in dc. it felt like things were becoming more about the two of them rather than the focus being on one or the other. aj nudged her sister’s side. “okay, we’re here. what do you want to do?”

aj’s head quickly turned when they heard something in the room with them. it was only the two of them there, they knew that for sure. “did you hear that?” they asked the other person. if they did, there was no way aj was going to check it out. they’d seen enough movies.
