Recently I’ve been wanting to see some appreciation for Becky and Tj Botsford and their sibling dynamic (particularly the dynamic they have in later seasons where it’s a more realistic sibling relationship IMHO) And I wanted to share a moment that has been living in my head rent free ever since this hyperfixation started

Pressured into doing so by Victor Best, Tj calls for Wordgirl when there isn’t an emergency, and Becky’s reaction to me is so cute. There is more concern coming from her than there usually is when Wordgirl gets called, and it’s because it’s her little brother calling for help.

And she is in such a panic about it that all basic logic about how to conduct herself as a secret hero seems to go out the window

Like no, Becky, Victoria did not hear Tj calling, she doesn’t have super hearing. And then she just dashes off, making no attempt at a reasonable excuse as to why she’s leaving so suddenly (not that she’s good at those anyway, but you get my point)

Obviously Becky will go help whoever is calling for Wordgirl, but there is notably more distress and urgency in her when Tj calls. Instead of save-the-day mode, she goes into protect-little-brother mode.

Anyway, thought it was a cute moment and wanted to draw attention to it!

hi I had another idea I might include in my au. looks around

I was watching powerpuff girls a few days ago because I had realized it was available and I figured why not. And although I was mostly thinking about how their relationship with wordgirl might be (I feel like they could learn a lot from each other!) I also think phil and professor utonium would get on well. I don't really know how I would describe their relationship but I think their worlds could realistically be the same one. So I might include them in the au too idk yet
