Homework #6
1a.) So, for my project, I want to do it on flying cars. Seeing as I have been mainly focusing on this topic for the majority of the class sessions. I want to do an art piece on this subject. The medium has not been determined just yet, but I am leaning towards digital art. An illustration seems to be what I am falling more towards.
1b.) So for this illustration, I want to give a perspective of what the world would look like with flying cars. This would be based off of just what my interpretation of this is. Seeing as I believe that they would really happen in the distant future, it would probably be futuristic and have a "Jetson's" feel to it. I was thinking of constructing a city as my background. For my foreground I would put a single flying car or vehicle. This would probably be modeled after some existing city so that I do not have to make up a city on a whim. The vehicle itself would also be modeled after an existing vehicle. Just so that I do not have to reinvent the wheel. I was thinking of a concept car that a company has not put out and add something here and there to make it look as though it is flying throughout the city. Maybe take the wheels and replace them with something like a fan. Or something along those lines. For the city... I'm not really sure what city I would use as a muse. I could go with Little Rock, seeing that it is considered a small city. I could make one up and just do like a cityscape to give a little personality to the project.
1c.) Something good that I could do next on this project would be to make my decisions on what I want in this illustration and then sketch out some ideas so that I am not completely stuck on one part. I could also start on an illustration just to see what I come up with as well.
