One of my WIPs is the Hwang couple x Gihun with a sprinkle of Il-nam and every so often, I add more to it. I forget just how intense I plan on making it until I start re reading to add more

I was thinking about when In-ho’s wife could’ve died (because angst) and I was originally thinking it would be more angsty for her die right before he gets out but then I thought about her dying right after he enters. While I was thinking I realised this sort of fixes a plot hole from season 1.

On the files that Jun-ho goes through in the archive it doesn’t mention his wife at all which doesn’t make a lot of sense but it also doesn’t mention Gi-hun’s dad, In-ho or Jun-ho’s dad or In-ho’s mother so this implies that the files don’t include family that isn’t present in the persons life. Assuming dead people also fall under this category this could explain why she isn’t in his file. By the time those files were printed out she was already gone.
