There was a groan from her, irritation lining her face as she stopped for a moment to catch her breath. Holding her hand up and straightening herself out.

"I'm going to kill whoever decided we needed to hike through these mines."

Eveline rolled her shoulders and strode over to Lynette, she could feel a sunburn beginning to form on her poor body however she ended up watching the rest of Avalanche from their distance- yeah they needed to catch up but the two needed the space... things were already heavy as it was.

"...How are you doing now that we're away from Costa Del Sol?" Red eyes usually full of life and whimsy glanced at her, if Lynn gave her an update she'd give her one on Kyu.

Even if the girl in question hadn't been very talkative in their shared headspace. Kyu would come back when she was ready, for now Eveline would be more than happy filling in for her.

"I don't think we're going to be seeing that vile man for a while, hopefully the hike has been a breather for you."

"I wish that brat didn't push Zoro out of the way but it's for the best." Finally a glance to the side at @hxbiris, eyebrow rising. "Thought you were still in Alabasta, kid."

"Walk with me if ya got time, I'll fill you in on the swine we just saw."

A yawn from her as she leaned on nothingness, resting her head on her arms as she tilted her head to the side while watching her- a glance at the rotund feline that bounced up to her and matched her tilted head.

"Focuuus....~"

Mikaela reached a hand out to adjust Yuka's stance, yawning again as she resumed her former position.

"You'll never be able to wield a keyblade like that if you get sloppy- if my dream eaters can knock you over with a single brush of your leg, what are you supposed to do~?"

So much for the curious child she met in a dream.

The gears in her head turned as Mikaela finally properly placed her feet on the ground, adjusting her hat before walking over to Yuka.

"Actually let's call it a day. You must be getting hungry. I also promised to answer questions you had, let's discuss over tea."

"No, Ichinose," Jin says with a smooth, yet cold voice, appearing suddenly between Maki Ichinose and the opponent they had been engaging for a few minutes now-- Avira.

Jin's hand curls around Maki's Zanpakuto, stopping it mid-swing with no visible harm to himself, and meanwhile, a strong gust of wind pushes Avira back some paces, putting distance between the opposing sides. 

"Go after the other one," Jin continues to Maki, "stop them from alerting their friends; I'll worry about this Hozuki."

Maki, a little troubled but ever obedient, flash steps away, leaving Jin and Avira alone on this skyscraper rooftop in the western portion of Karakura Town, beneath the sparsely starlit sky and the faintly visible crescent moon that hung overhead.

"Avira, Avira, poor misguided Avira, it's so good to see you again," Jin says devilishly as he turns and fixes her with a menacing gaze, "I've been thinking about you."

The wind around the skyscraper starts to kick up, sending a strong breeze past Avira, a breeze that runs past her flesh and through her hair like the fingers of something haunted and pestilent, something wicked and wanting, though something that also lacked hostility... for now.

"Stay your Zanpakuto for the time being, I want to talk."

She never dreamed that one day she’d be the very thing she’d spent the first half of her life training to eradicate; a pirate. Yet desperate times and desperate measures went hand in hand, thus she’d found herself at Doflamingo’s doorstep some years back. Scared and alone, facing a world that would hate her if they knew of her lineage and one that feared her because the Marines had placed a bounty on her.

She’d had nowhere else to go and she had been so damned tired of running. Still, to this day she questions if she’s made the right call. She’s safe from her father and the Marines at large, and her secret is hers alone, but all empires fall eventually and she sometimes wonders when Doffy’s will.

Speak of the devil.

She doesn’t turn from where she stands, but her posture shifts slightly, the only sign that she’s acknowledged his presence. Does he have some new task for her? Will it be as awful as the last?

gunmetal gray-hued gaze tilts towards @hxbiris , cheek leaning into an open palm. a smile that could mean anything between malice and curiosity stretches across vermillion lips.

it's a competitive world out there, but she didn't expect anyone to really know about this specific piece she was after. it's been kept pretty hush-hush, word traveling within private circles. but, no one is so reliable as to keep true secrecy these days.

"i might be open to a deal. what do you say?"
