shoulders twitch in surprise once approached by the other. tradition or not, there were still ways to startle him. needy long fingers reach for the card, look of utter distaste plastered all over his face. that distaste, however, fleeting. especially once he opens the card, once his gaze lingers on the words. so outrageously defying what the day was all about. he enjoyed those little charades; for they reminded him, that there was partnership even in utter loneliness.
❛well i see your craftsmanship is not improving despite how many times we’ve done this.❜ he doesn’t shy away from a glimmer of sarcasm which laces his words. however there’s an unusual shade of softness the warlock tries to swallow instead of spitting out. ❛no card this time, however i prepared a serenade. give me a moment to fetch my charango, old friend.❜
listen, ragnor wouldn’t admit it, but he had put a lot of effort into the card. seeing as he was a being of perfection, it had taken far more energy than should be necessary to make the card look so crude, and he had written the words in glitter, which is classically unruly to work with. ragnor would be loathe to admit it out loud, but maguns was the person he loved most in the word, followed only by raphael and catarina themselves, whom had also wormed their way into his cold, calculating heart.
“what can i say? it takes a certain kind of practice to perfect that which is terible.” a joke, but he hoped magnus wouldn’t see through his artfully crafted mask. he didn’t want others to see him for who he was--a soft, brittle center that yearend for affection. “ah, so a different sort of torture. let me prepare myself for the horrid tones of the worst instrument ever crafted.” ragnor sat himself on magnus’ couch, one leg crossing over the other was he reclined back.
