'I'm a giant weenie baby and miss you, but you're absolutely useless at using skype ( but at least I stopped crying )' ldr older!gonxkillua
He was using his phone as a fingerskateboard again. It slid out of hispocket down the length of his armrest before stopping for a wheelie of sortsand flipping several times in the air before he brought the screen out of itsslumber and opened Strype. The loadingwheel spun for two seconds before showing him his list of contacts--Leorio wasonline. And Ikalgo. But not Gon. He was almost never on.
"Why don't you just call himalready?"
"Hm? Call who?" Killua slipped the phone backinto his pocket and brought his hand up to fiddle with his hair instead. It needed a trim.
"You know who." Allukasighed. She had long since stoppedfeeling guilty for coming between them in a way. If she weren't around, Killua would neverhave left Gon to travel alone with his father. But if she truly weren't around--if she and Nanika had never beenborn...
He'd be lying around cryingthat Gon had died all those years ago. Instead, he's lying around crying because he wants to see him but feelstoo embarrassed to call.
She wasn't sure which was worse--shealso wasn't sure how she could help.
"Where do you want to go next,Alluka?"
"Don't change the subject!"
Killua tensed for the briefest secondbefore she added,
"...brother."
"I was asking about where weshould go next for your training. We'vebeen here a while and we should probably get on the move again." Too longin any one place meant that Illumi might find them sooner.
"Whale Island."
"Alluka, you're being abrat." Killua frowned.
"And you're being a scaredycat!"
"You can't call your big brothera scaredy cat!"
"I can when he's almost twentyyears old and still refuses to call his boyfriend--"
"He's not my boyfriend!"
"Not at this rate he won'tbe!"
The two were stopped by the buzzingof Killua's phone in his pocket and he immediately brought it to his ear.
"Hello?"
"Killua!!!"
It wasn't the voice herecognized. In their years apart it hadgrown deeper and more resonant. Theyweren't twelve years old anymore and the baritone hum he heard on the other linemade blurry the image of the boy in his mind. But the way he said his name--it could only be...
"G-Gon..."
Alluka smiled sheepishly beforestepping quietly out of the room just as Killua was replying,
"I-I missed you too."
