What about Carlos reading to Katseye's Lara and Manon's... Scene (don't know what else to call it????) At the end of M.I.A at Lollapollaza, except its Y/n instead of Manon.
🚨 “Carlos Sainz vs. The Ending Scene”
Pairing: F1 Grid x Platonic!KatseyeMem!Reader Warnings: sibling protectiveness turned comedy, Carlos almost fainting, grid being absolute menaces, viral internet chaos. Word Count: 775
INTRO
You’d think Carlos would be used to this by now. After all, being the older brother to a global KPOP idol means watching your little sister pull off choreographies, stage outfits, and concepts that the whole world adores.
But no. Apparently, Carlos will never be ready for:
Y/N being the “center” in Katseye’s fierce stages.
The outfits that make him mutter “¿Por qué la falda es tan corta?” (Why is the skirt so short.) under his breath.
The ending of M.I.A at Lollapalooza.
Because instead of Lara and Manon finishing that face-to-face scene… it’s Y/N.
And the entire F1 grid is there to watch Carlos implode.
It starts with Katseye being announced as a surprise act during Lollapalooza weekend.
Carlos is already tense because he knows what’s coming. He’s seated near the front with a few drivers (Charles, Lando, Oscar, Pierre, Lewis).
Charles: “Relax, Carlos, it’s just a performance.” Carlos: “Just a performance? That’s my little sister up there—” Lando: “And?” Carlos: “And she is supposed to stay cute and small forever.” Oscar: snort “She’s literally headlining, mate.”
Carlos narrows his eyes at him. He doesn’t like Oscar’s tone (or how comfortable he sounded saying it).
The Performance Begins
The crowd screams as Katseye hits the stage. You’re glowing under the lights, pulling every sharp move in perfect sync with Lara, Daniela, Sophia, and the others.
Carlos is already clenching his jaw. He mutters under his breath every time the camera zooms on you:
“Skirt too short.”

⠀. ʚ ᮫ (nerd!megan x nerd!readerֵ) ۟ ﹠ ── all you wanted was a simple gaming night with megan skendiel, but she has other plans—like teasing you over every missed jump, stealing your hoodie, and somehow turning a co-op level into the fluffiest team-up of your life. turns out, the real win isn’t beating the game—it’s realizing how good the two of you are together.
fluff/one-shot
the floor is a minefield of empty chip bags and soda cans, but neither of you care. the only thing that matters is the glow of the tv screen and the controllers in your hands. you’re sitting cross-legged with your back against the couch, while megan lounges behind you, sprawled out like she owns the whole world.
“ok,” she says, pointing at the screen with way too much authority, “this is the run. don’t choke.”
you roll your eyes. “wow, thanks for the pep talk.”
megan grins, already laughing before the level even starts. the game kicks off and instantly you’re panicking, fingers smashing buttons like your life depends on it. she leans forward, chin resting on your shoulder, voice teasing in your ear.
“jump. left. no not—oh my god, you’re terrible.”
“stop backseat gaming!” you whine, but you’re laughing too, because she sounds like she’s having the time of her life.
you fail the level (again) and drop your controller dramatically. “it’s literally rigged. there’s no way.”
megan bursts out laughing and flops onto her side, hair falling into her face. “oh my god, don’t be such a sore loser. here—” she wiggles down onto the floor beside you and grabs the second controller. “team effort. let’s go.”
she sits close, so close that her knee bumps yours every time she shifts. she smells faintly like vanilla and the chips you’ve both been inhaling. your face heats, but you pretend you’re focused on the screen.
the game starts again. this time, whenever you mess up, she doesn’t tease (much). instead, she leans in, voice soft but excited. “ok, ok, don’t panic—see that? right there—yes! good job.”
when the two of you finally clear the level, she throws both hands in the air like she’s just won a championship. “best team ever!” she declares, and then immediately holds her palm out for a high-five. you hit it, but she snags your hand and doesn’t let go, her fingers warm and firm around yours.
you freeze, caught between laughing and melting into the carpet. she notices, of course, and tilts her head, grinning like she’s just found a cheat code.
“what?” you ask, voice quieter than you meant.
“nothing,” she says, though the smile tugging at her lips says otherwise. “just… you’re cute when you’re serious about games.”
before you can even think of a comeback, she leans over, grabs a chip from the bag by your side, and pops it in her mouth. “also,” she mumbles with a full mouth, “this is totally my hoodie now.”
you blink, realizing she’s already tugged it off the back of the couch and thrown it over her shoulders. it’s way too big on her, the sleeves swallowing her hands, and you swear your brain short-circuits.
“you can’t just—”
“too late,” she interrupts, tugging the hood up dramatically. “ownership transferred. gamer law.”
you groan, hiding your face in your hands, but she just laughs, leaning against you like it’s the most natural thing in the world.
and honestly, it kind of is.

M.I.A. - Paper Planes 2008
"Paper Planes" is a song by British hip hop artist M.I.A. It was released on 11 February 2008 as the third single from her second studio album, Kala (2007). It samples English rockband the Clash's 1982 song "Straight to Hell", leading to its members being credited as co-writers. A downtempo alternative hip hop, pop track combining African folk music elements, the song has a less dance-oriented sound compared to other songs on the album. Its lyrics, inspired by M.I.A.'s own problems obtaining a visa to work in the USA, satirise American perceptions of immigrants from war-torn countries, and said that the issue was probably "them thinking that I might to [sic] fly a plane into the Trade Center".
M.I.A. had wanted to work with American producer Timbaland for the album Kala, but her application for a long-term US work visa was rejected. This was allegedly due to her family's connection to the Tamil guerrillas, commonly known as the Tamil Tigers, a claim M.I.A. denied. Her visa problems were also attributed to her criticism of the Sri Lankan government's discrimination and alleged atrocities committed against the Tamils, with whom M.I.A. shares an ethnic and cultural heritage. She expressed this on her politicised debut album Arular. The unexpected success of "Paper Planes" paralleled M.I.A.'s condemnations of the Sri Lankan government's war crimes against the Tamils, generating accusations that she supported terrorism.
The song received widespread acclaim from contemporary critics, who complimented its musical direction and the subversive, unconventional subject matter. It won awards from the Canadian Independent Music Awards and the American Society of Composers, Authors and Publishers (ASCAP), and earned a Grammy nomination for Record of the Year. The song has received praise in publications such as NME, Pitchfork and Rolling Stone, each naming it among either the best songs of the 2000s decade or of all time. The review aggregator Acclaimed Music reports it as the second-most acclaimed song of the 21st century.
"Paper Planes" was used in the theatrical trailer for the 2008 stoner comedy Pineapple Express, directed by David Gordon Green, which catapulted the song to mainstream success in the US. "Paper Planes" and the DFA remix appear on the soundtrack to Danny Boyle's drama Slumdog Millionaire, released in 2008. The video game Far Cry 3 (2012) begins with "Paper Planes" used in the opening cinematic sequence.
"Paper Planes" received a total of 68,9% yes votes!
