Description: Having no friends in her study hall class, Tori found herself finding an almost empty table. The only person sitting there being Hunter Hollingsworth.
Tori When Tori arrived back within the Degrassi school district, she immediately compared her schedule to her friends, but sadly the most important class to have a friend in she didn't have with anyone. Her study period left her without any friends, so when she walked into that class and didn't see a single friendly face, she made the decision to sit at a mostly empty table. She approached the boy who was sitting alone and tried to get his attention away from his phone, "Hey," she said, waiting for him to look up. When he did, she said, "do you mind if I sit here?" Tori waiting for a response as she awkwardly held her books.
Hunter Hunter looked up from his phone, annoyed from not being able to talk to his girlfriend. "Um, yeah, sure. You might want to sit around some other's though. Warning, I'm not that interesting." He shrugged and looked down before looking up again, "I've seen you around I think... Matlin's friend?"
Tori Tori was taken aback by Hunter's insistence that he wasn't interesting, but she pushed it away. The only other open table at that point seemed to be with Freshman boys, and Tori wasn't about to take that chance. She sat her books on the table and sat down across from Hunter, "Yeah, but it used to be people would say it the other way around," she said in a joking tone.
Hunter Hunter chuckled, "My brother had a thing with her, so that's why I would know, don't worry. Most people I know seem to be through my siblings. Good for hearing interesting stories. Bad for well... Pretty much anything else. There's a group of kids that pretty much own this school, and I'm related two of them." He sighed, glancing back down at his phone. "Nothing wrong with those people, but I think they'd say so about my group."
Tori Tori shrugged slightly, "I guess I've missed a lot," she said. "Don't worry, though, I haven't been here since Freshman year, so most people would think the same way you do," she said, her tone light. "I'm guessing you don't really fit in with your siblings then?" Tori asked, taking a guess at the obvious. "Why would they have a problem with you?" Tori asked. "Omg, I'm totally asking, like, way too many questions, aren't I?"
Hunter Hunter shook his head, "No, hey it's fine. One, I don't fit in with my siblings at all. My twin sister is a popular volleyball player, my brother is well... He's special." He chuckled. "Two, because I'm in the "nerdy" video game group." He sighed, "Guess I don't really care what they think though, so that always helps."
Tori Tori nodded, "It's the most annoying thing when people compare people to their siblings. I mean, I have a sister who's way older than me, and everyone thinks I'm exactly like her before they get to know me," she said. "So I'm speaking to a total nerd right now?" Tori asked, her tone obviously joking. If this was still Freshman year, she probably would have backed away, but she had matured a lot in the past few years.
Hunter Hunter rolled his eyes with a smirk, looking up from his phone into her eyes, raising an eyebrow. "Oh yeah, totally. Look at all this fucking calculus and shit." He laughed, "Hey, what's your name by the way? I'm Hunter."
Tori "I can't be seen sitting with you. You're totally going to ruin my reputation!" Tori said while laughing. "I'm Tori. Tori Santamaria," she said, a smile gracing her face.
Hunter Hunter rolled his eyes, "Damn, that reputation of yours from your freshman year is all going to hell now, isn't it?" He laughed, setting his phone down on the table. "Don't worry, Tori , we've both got nothing to lose."
Tori Tori giggled, "Exactly! What am I supposed to do if I lose that?" she asked. Tori grinned, "I guess you have a point Hunter," she said. "Well look at that, I got a gamer to put his phone down," she said, teasingly.
Hunter Hunter smiled, "That you did, congrats." He shook his head, "Nah, I wasn't actually playing games. I know shocker." He grinned. "I was just texting somebody."
Tori Tori smiled, "Oh come on. You couldn't have just given me that sense of satisfaction?" Tori asked, a laugh escaping her lips.
Hunter Hunter laughed, "Hey, I was texting somebody pretty important to me, so there's your daily satisfaction."
Tori Tori laughed, "Well, I guess I'll have to take what I can get," she said. "Sooo, who were ya texting?" she asked in a playful tone.
Hunter Hunter shrugged, "Oh, just my good friend. She's a sweet girl. Into my interests."
Tori Tori nodded, "I'm gonna be totes honest here. I know, like, literally nothing about games," Tori said with a laugh. "I'm not much of a gamer," she added.
Hunter Hunter grinned before letting out a chuckle, running a hand through his hair. "You don't seem like the type to."
Tori Tori laughed, "Omg, I would totally accuse you of stereotyping. I mean, minus the fact that it's totally true," she said.
Hunter Hunter smiled, "Hey, you're definitely different than what I would imagine, so you have that on your side."
Tori "Well, I guess I have many sides to who I am," Tori said with a laugh. "You're totally as nerdy as I thought you'd be, though," she said, jokingly.
Hunter Hunter rolled his eyes, "I'll try to take that one as a compliment."
Tori Tori laughed, and nodded her head. "I think you should totally take it as a compliment," she said.
Hunter Hunter smiled, "Well thank you, Tori."
Tori Tori was about to reply when the bell went off signaling the end of the class period.
Tori gathered her books and stood up. "I guess I'll talk to you tomorrow, Hunter," she said.
