Saebyeok might be a Witch, but one could say he was only human, meaning he did get lonely sometimes. Even though he much preferred the quiet serenity of his cottage in the woods, on rainy days when the weather is cold and unforgiving, having decent company would be nice. It makes him think about his past love in the 1960s. He thought she was the one, his Soulmate, but he’d never know, not since she disappeared before they got the true chance to explore their unique relationship. 

Not wanting to dwell on the what if thoughts that fill his mind on lonely days like this he tries to occupy himself with a book in bed until sleep took over. The Witch was hoping that when sleep took him, it would leave him with a blissful nothingness. Just pure sleep, no dreams, no walking up in the middle of the night, that would be the best. It took about four chapters before Saebyeok was feeling his eyelids grow heavy. Setting the book down and turning off the light he he lays his head to rest, it only takes him a few minutes before he falls asleep.

Saebyeok is back in the 1960s Germany. She was by his side, there was a nice little tune playing out doors under the stars, he doesn’t know where it’s coming from, but it’s slow and nice enough to dance to. Smiling softly Saebyeok starts to hum along with the tune, surprisingly the Witch enjoyed singing, it wasn’t something he usually showcased though. Only for those close and important to him, which just happened to be one person. 

The moonlight highlighted her features so well, she was stunning, but then again she was always stunning. Even when dirtied and rundown by her job. Her unfair job where she got all abuse just because she was a different nationality. Saebyeok tried to help as much as he could, but even as a doctor he was also at the bottom of chain, abused as well. Even though he spoke German, he wasn’t allowed to service anyone but the Korean coal minors. 

None of that mattered right now though, not when there was a romantic feeling in the air. They had never spoken about their feelings for one another, never initiated anything other than closeness. Maybe tonight was the night, he’d finally confess his true feelings, maybe even steal a kiss if the mood was right. Just the thought of it, made his heart beat faster and harder. 

“I want to tell you something...”

Saebyeok starts out before something in the corner catches his eyes. Glancing over he see an unfamiliar face and he wonders how long they were standing there, watching. Confused now he glances back to see that she was gone and Saebyeok’s heart sinks a little bit as he realizes he’s in a dream, and that the person he glanced at was an intruder. Sighing softly the other was rather embarrassed, what a dream to walk in on...his lost love. 

“You ruined a nice moment I never got to have.”

[/ a small gift bag sits pretty on the welcome mat. there's a bundle of blue poppies, axel's favorite, sitting in the open mouth of the bag acting as tissue paper. inside, copic markers slide and rattle against each other. a note hangs from the bag's handle, "i don't know much about art, but i saw these colors and thought of you. sorry i've been so busy. i miss you, i'll come by soon? -axel" ]

There’s something bittersweet about Axel leaving Theo flowers. Especially when he comes home and they haven’t been sitting out long enough to wilt. It makes Theodore feel like he’d just missed an opportunity to see the literal sunshine-- to get a hug in a pair of strong arms, to be able to smell a warm scent that has finally faded from his own sheets because it’s been enough days of the taller’s absence. 

And when Theo sees the markers-- the copic markers-- the brand new color collection he’d seen in the window of the art supply store a few weeks ago.. It makes tears burn in his eyes a little, chin sort of crumpling. No, no, no.

Don’t cry. It’s not like he’s gone forever.

There’s proof of him right in front of you.

007 -  Cry on: Axel is a big, broad softy. From his smile and the way his eyes crinkle up, to the way he lays his hands on Theo during simple conversations-- to the cuddly tendencies that are as natural as breathing to him and the polite way he orders food when they’re out and he’s making all the waitresses swoon. The delivery boy absolutely adores him. You might even say Theodore is wrapped around Axel’s perfectly shaped pinky finger-- even if he’ll be stubborn and shy to prying eyes. Everything Axel does makes Theo’s cheeks burn up like fireworks, even when it’s something as casual as resting his head on the blonde’s shoulder, or if their fingers accidentally brush together. You’d never catch Theo initiating affection between them-- no way, not unless he was feeling irrationally bold.

Until a night comes where they’re watching Marley and Me, which was a horrible choice, because Axel’s eyes are bubbling over with ghibli-sized tears, and his perfect nose is dribbling with snot that he keeps sniffling, chin wibbling as he watches the golden-furred dog pass away on screen. 

And after a bit of thought (and a lot of guilt, seeing as Theo chose the movie) the shorter of the pair scooches over along the couch cushions to get closer to Axel, gathering the poor guy up into his arms so Axel can wipe all those crocodile tears against his favorite sweater.

{ x } | @hyaxel“Yeah, because you can’t see ghost and they just float. So, that’s pretty hard to run after.” Michiko nodded her head in agreement. Although, she is still skeptical about ghost, but there are things that are just unexplained. Like when she stayed at this bot fight where it was apparently haunted.  There strange things that were happening. But still, unless she actually sees a ghost, she will have her doubts. “Why are you chasing after them anyways?”
