ZodSqd during patrol today. Despite the sky being covered, the outside temperature was at 25° C. This lead to a premature feeling of dehydration and exhaustion which the wearer could not get under control using just the small drinking tube connectable to the mask.
Therefore ZodSqd had to abort the patrol after the first 2 kms, among which had been nearly 1 km trackless through the woods. Upon abortion of the planned patrol, ZodSqd was at 700 m from the base, to where he finally returned savely keeping the full cbrn protection operational until arrival.
On this patrol ZodSqd spent a total of 50 minutes hermetically sealed in the Zodiac ensemble, passed 2.7 kms of way and consumed half a litre of water from his cbrn suitable hydration system. Field pack carried was about 18 kgs.
