Because it describes exactly Narellus’ obsession with Hydrownus because while she does play with offering herself as a romantic and/or sexual partner to Hyd, by the end of the day it doesn’t necessarily have to be that. All she really wants is to be important to him while he is important to her. She could be his mother or daughter or sister figure dammit! As long as he sees her too.
