hydropod
this is a more land-dwelling metaxypod from biblaridions alien biospheres. the setae covering its body turned into overlapping scales reminiscent of butterfly/moth scales. its eyes are arranged so it can see in front of itself to easily catch malacoforms, and so it can also see above and behind itself to watch out for predators. some setae around the feet turned into claws that help it grip. instead of developing bones like the osteopods, they strengthened their hydrostatic skeletons to support themselves on land, much like a very short velvet worm. they probably vary from about 4cm to 8cm in length as adults.
