During the very first time that I watched Uncanny Counter, I had always wondered the significance of the second GIF. It seems to add nothing to the plot and seems to be out-of-the-blue. However, after realizing that one of hyeok-woo's trauma revolves around the memory of his father threatening him inside their car, I finally get the sense of the second GIF.

It just goes to show how different Hyeok-woo is depending on who he's with. With So Mun, he is comfortable enough to let all his defenses down and fall asleep on his shoulders while when he is with his father, he is all tensed-up and scared, as if breathing would cost him his life. And the contrast between these moments despite it being just a small detail is so breathtakingly beautiful, i am in awe!!! I LOVE THIS SO MUCH!! [and i'll never shut up about it aHHHHH >W<]

glad you asked! this was fun to think about

my favorite ship dynamic is when person A is hopelessly in love with person B and pines quietly until person B realizes and starts to reciprocate (aka: slow burn. reeeally slow. so much pining and longing) which is prevalent in my more favorited ships like xiaolumi, hpyu, kurodachi

i’m not really a fan of enemies to lovers unless person A helps person B through their redemption arc directly; one example of this being done so so well is hyeokmun in the uncanny counter, i have so many thoughts about them

a lot of people compare hyeokmun to drarry but harry never sat with draco and firsthand helped him with his emotions so they lack that tenderness that hyeokmun is so beautifully composed of (honorable mention here: kagehina)

i’m also a softie for the classic best friends to lovers like xingyun, renga, reigisa, sndn, etc.

This is the first thing that came to mind when I saw end of season 2 So Mun - so ofc I had to draw it!

After watching season 2 I've officially fallen back into my HyeokMun obsession so...definitely expect more fanart from me soon!
