Seong Shik was perusing the aisles of the grocery near their restaurant. They were low on fresh ingredients and a few essential seasonings. Their basket was nearly full as they made their way toward the registers. Humming under their breath a pretty melody they’d heard from a radio on their over here, Shik was almost at the front of the store when a body slammed into them.
The leafy greens, tomatoes, onions, and various bottles of seasonings flew from Shik’s basket, rolling in every direction. Shik could feel the sickness in their stomach settle into something akin to anger at seeing precious food laying on the dirty ground. The grocery store was a place of holiness in Chef’s mind and someone dared to run around it like it was a playground?
With a gaze that could ice over a volcano, Shik turned to the reckless fool who’d wasted their precious produce.
“I’m going to assume you’re going to help pick up the mess you just made and then you’re going to explain why you think this store is an amusement park. Do you realize you’ve wasted perfectly good fruits and vegetables?”
