“life moves pretty fast. if you don’t stop & look around once in a while, you could miss it.”
SPIDER SENSES TINGLING...
🕷 ⊰ he misses a lot of things but life isn’t one of them. okay, scratch that. to some degree, the life he sustained before he had been bitten by some sort of enhanced spider had some aspects he actually wouldn’t mind returning to. it was simpler then, but also painful. perhaps because he’s often misunderstood-- often terrorized and secluded from his peers for reasons unknown to him, but even now, it’s not entirely that different. even as spider-man, his life as himself remains somewhat of the same-- just less painful in his own skin, and more in the vigilante’s. physically, anyway.
he nods though, kind of slow at first, but then it quickens. ultimately, she’s right. life is pretty fast, and he always feels like he’s chasing it-- trying his best to catch up to something that’s incapable of pausing. it doesn’t always work out in his favor, but there are moments where he fits in his skin a little better than the day before. and maybe that’s all he really needs.
“you know-- you’ve got a point.” he pauses, balancing steadily on the newspaper stand beside the bench she’s on. it’s dark, and it’s quiet, but perhaps she’s outside for the same reason he is. well, not crime-fighting, but just... watching, watching the world fall asleep. “hey, i’ve got an idea-- have you ever seen life from the top of namsan tower? it’s seriously something to see, aaaaand i know a shortcut there. depends if you get nauseated easily though. i just washed this suit, you know.”
