Paya’s eyes widened as Impa had finally explaining Paya’s task. The young girl had to learn how to fight enemies. Impa had said Paya needed to be able to fend for herself out in the wild, if she ever needed to. The young sheikah couldn’t help but disagree, Paya just wasn’t built for fighting. The sheikah tribe was surely the strongest of all the tribes, they were all warriors after all. Even the kids knew self defense. Everyone was so capable, except for Paya. She was always told she had great potential to be a strong warrior, but Paya didn’t see it. She saw herself as a weak, noodle like girl.
She was handed a royal broadsword, it was on handed. Impa also handed her a wooden shield, which will probably come in handy. Not having enough confidence to defy her grandmother she did was she was told.
Making her way to the entrance of the village she sighed, she really did not want to do this. She knew she was weak, and this would probably end up with a big injury. Walking out of the village Paya held the sword in her hand, and her shield in the other hand. Coming across a group of enemies her eyes widened, she noticed a silver bokoblin. She knew from reading about them that they had great aim, and they were quite powerful. Tightening her grip around the sword Paya walked closer, she had to do this, it was an order from Impa.
The silver bokoblin noticed her and pulled out it’s bow. It aimed an arrow right at Paya, it shot the arrow. The arrow flew past Paya, missing her by a hair. She didn’t know what to do, she was under pressure which made her freeze. Quickly the silver bokoblin shot another arrow, and this time it hit her. It hit her right knee cap, making her wince in pain. Her shot leg quickly gave in on her and she fell to her knees, she tried to stand but there was no use. Her right leg was completely useless. She felt tears prick her eyes, she desperately didn’t want to cry. She wanted to call herself brave, and have faith in herself for once. She placed her hands over her eyes, was this how she was going to die? By a simple silver bokoblin?
❝ I don’t want to die... ❞ She muttered, but she knew it was no use.
