This weekend was a pretty eventful one. I attended my first protest. And while it does feel a little silly to protest in Connecticut, it still felt like something that needed to be done - I am always filled with rage, and often with despair.
And it felt so good having all those people around who hate this too. That it's a smaller minority who want this, and that people are not just taking it sitting down. And it was comforting the amount of white people, including older white males, taking part as well. Some pictures of the signs are below
I also snuck in a picture of this spicy pineapple drink that had that I would drink every day if that wasn't alcoholism. That shit was so good.
Oh! And I also got a call today saying I got the new job I applied for. Which comes with a 10K raise. And possibly 3-4 days working from home.
And remember that softball league I yelled about joining? 4 people reached out to me trying to get involved.

You know what's pure man? When your friends just send you random snap chats of general things or when they send you ones you certainly didnt need but they just feel comfortable and wanted to share that moment with you? The direct snaps that are also on their story probably but like "hey you're my guy so you get this one specifically" That's just so nice. The thought behind it. Just cause they were happy or feeling good and you were a person they wanted to share it with. That's good stuff.
