Taehyung gets a new job in a new town and he and his family move into a new house with 5 bedrooms. Taeho starts complaining when his parents begin to decorate the fifth room as a nursery. “Aren’t you two tired of having kids yet? How can you take the chance of having another kid just like Hoseok?” He complained, resulting in a kick to the shin from his little brother.
Taehyung starts at his new job and as soon as he sits at his desk, he knows something’s wrong. He can feel it fro within. The feeling bothers him so much he can barely pay attention to the worker training him. He gets to the bottom of his suspicions when he meets Hyoseon. Hyoseon is the cause of that feeling.
Taehyung had only ever felt that feeling for one person ever and it was his wife, his soulmate, he still feels it deep in his soul for Namjoo. But his first day of work answered a question he’d always wondered. Is there a possibility of having more than one soulmate?
Hyoseon and Taehyung get along well. Taehyung has no intentions of betraying his wife or even putting himself in any kind of position to. He’s curious. How can a woman almost half his age be his soulmate? What could they have in common? Not much, it turns out. But that didn’t stop Taehyung from trying to get to know the woman.
He can’t bring himself to tell Namjoo. He strangely feels as if he is betraying his wife by feeling this way towards another woman. There are no romantic feelings involved but something inside him responds to Hyoseon’s presence, just as to his wife. It shouldn’t be that way. So he couldn’t tell Namjoo.
Taehyung invites Hyoseon over for dinner with his family. He wants to see Namjoo and Hyoseon interact. Maybe Namjoo will feel something too. Taehyung and Namjoo are practically the same person. It’s a reasonable thought.
If Namjoo felt something, she doesn’t mention it, no matter how much Taehyung tries to pry it out of her.
Taehyung continues to try to get to know Hyoseon. They’re soulmates. He has an obvious soul tie to the other and he wonders if Hyoseon can feel it.
One day, Taehyung and Hyoseon go out for drinks after work and Taehyung offers to take her home since she doesn’t have a car. She tries to kiss him after she invites him inside to meet her guinea pig. Taehyung quickly stops her, grabbing her wrist and gently pulling them away from his neck.
Hyoseon flushes, “I’m sorry.” She pulls her hands out of his grip, turning away from him to cover her hands with her face. “Sorry, I think I’m drunk. I-”
“It’s okay.” Taehyung said, trying to save the woman from humiliation. She had just tried to kiss a happily married man with three children. “I’m sorry if I gave you the wrong idea.”
Hyoseon turns toward him and peaks through her fingers for a few moments before removing them from her face all together. “You’ve been... Ever since you started, you just...” Hyoseon was having a hard time finding her words. Her cheeks flushed, still embarrassed. “I just assumed since you...”
“I have given you a lot of attention since I started, but whatever you’re thinking right now, was not my intention. This is going to sound crazy, but I think we’re soulmates.” The look on Hyoseon’s face is comical.
“But you just said!”
“Not romantic ones.” Taehyung is quick to explain himself. “But we’re connected in some way. I felt it the moment we met. Didn’t you feel it to?”
