History

Vartox is the champion of Valeron, a distant planet. His wife was murdered at some point. He and two other alien warriors were blackmailed by Brainiac to destroy Superman, but the Man of Steel was able to defeat the villains before Valeron could be destroyed. In a later adventure, Vartox was trying repopulate his planet with Power Girl's help, after space pirates had caused the population to become sterile.
