I went into this game with little hope of actually winning. I'm just too used to having to carry the game, and this lane isn't a fun time for Vayne at ALL. Caitlyn Taric is BEYOND stronger than Vayne and Shen "Support". I love how people think Shen is a viable support at this ELO. People always pick him for his namesake. Claiming he's too invaluable to give up. My opinion on Shen is he's not even viable at this ELO. Whenever I see him in a game I'm in I always expect to either win or lose simply because he's on or against my team. In top lane he let's anyone free farm, and as a support he essentially does nothing, especially against Taric.
The laning went just as I planned. Shen thought he was God because he was Shen and tried taunting Caitlyn like 3 times in the beginning. Taric would stun, Caitlyn would Q + AA and bring him so low he had to sit at tower. I had to Q to get minions, and eventually we were pushed to tower while I farmed under it and they AA'd the tower. This worked out, though, because I was able to keep up in CS as I'm used to last hitting under tower. (With running flat AD reds and LS Quints = 2 tower hits + 1 AA for melee & AA + Tower hit + AA for Ranged minions). Anyways, eventually our Nocturne (who built wrong btw) came down bot and I was able to net a kill, unfortunantley by my misplay I gave Caitlyn a double kill.
On my next back, however, I picked up a Doran's blade + Vamp Scept + Zerk boots. Now Caitlyn was behind because she straight bought BF Sword. In case you aren't aware like she wasn't, my setup is better for all in extended trades, while BF sword only allows for strong poke's and exchanges. I knew with running Armor blue's and Ls Quints I could take her, so I went all in, using exhaust, and picking up two kills. This set me ahead pretty well, and I did outplay them, allowing us to take control of the lane.
I did have control of my lane, but Caitlyn still wans't out of the woods yet. She picked up a kill later because of a successful Shyvanna gank, but that would be one of the last kills she'd get.
The game ended very quickly because Swain came bot and netted me a double kill, and from there it was easy carry Vayne. Finishing BT and PD in the same back, while buying another Zeal ensured out victory. Yet again, Vayne carries hard.
Even against a hard lane, I managed to be even or close to Caitlyn's Cs.
I didn't feed even with Shen support.
I used E to it's full advantage this game. Landing about 4-5.
Reallllyyy misplayed against Caitlyn early. I walked right into her trap when I was chasing her, and stayed around even though it was obvious I was going to die.
Took wayyy too much harass from Caitlyn, and allowed Taric to stun me 2-3 times because of bad judgement on his distance.
